Back to School on a Budget: DIY Back-To-School Supplies

We have a very speical guest vlog at The Condo! Kim Danger of Mommysavers.com presents how to save money on back to school supplies with some fun craft projects. She also gives a some good advice on how to stretch your back to school clothes shopping dollars because as you all know, I'm all about living big on a small budget.

Do you have any back to school shopping tips?

Disclaimer: Kim's web show More Mileage for Your Money is sponsored by Uniroyal Tires and includes an opportunity to enter a $100 monthly gas giveaway on their Website. I did not receive any payment, product, or gifts to run this video on Condo Blues. In all honesty, they didn't even talk to me about the Web show's sponsor (small hurrumph. Women buy tires and cars too you know), just the content of the videos.

I thought the video presented some new options on how to save money on back to school supplies and clothes and wanted to present it to you, The Most Fabulous Readers in the World. (Really. I think you guys rock!)

LOL This video showed me nothing! I want to hear that people bought used pencils at the throift store!
Seriously- Good ideas on decorating things yourself. When I was a teenager, I spent hours in math class drawing small minute circles on my PeeChee- There's a tip for you! Buy pee chee's instead of those overpirced notebooks! They are eco friendly, made of paper- have a handy multiplication table on the inside cover.

I have never really understood the school supplies list (I obviously don't have kids) because I don't remember ever having to have anything but paper and pencils for school. Heck, calculators weren't even invented for home use yet! LOL

This could be good for going green since the cardboard very plain binders are one of the greener options which aren't very cute. :)
