Valentine’s Day gifts for Husband are hard. I use all my good
gift ideas for Christmas.
Husband usually gives
me candy or flowers. I don't do that in case I duplicate. Although for our first Valentine’s Day, I gave
him an
anatomically correct chocolate heart.
18 years later it’s still in the box in the back of our refrigerator. I’d show you the real thing but I’m too afraid
to open the box.
I told Husband he had my heart - and gave him this
Husband and on other hand is Mr. Romance. He gives good gift. The first Valentine’s Day
gift he gave me was a copy of
The Velveteen Rabbit and bookmarked the part
about being loved so much it makes you real.
The love notes Husband writes still make me swoon.
I didn’t decorate my frame like Beverly did since my version is a gift for a
guy. It took less time to make too. Good
thing. I had to do this on the down low
when Husband wasn’t around.
Instead of drawing the paper lines on the fabric in
tailor’s chalk and sewing over them, I pinned a piece of notebook paper to
fabric to use as a guide. I sewed over the lines with my sewing machine to make
sure my lines were straight.. I sewed over every other line of the notebook paper so I
had enough space between the lines to stitch the words.
I wrote “ps: I love you” in tailor’s chalk. I used a
backstitch and black embroidery floss to stitch the words.
This project didn’t take a lot of time or cost a ton of
money but it has a lot of heart.
